My love for the Sagebrush Top sewing pattern is never ending. I have made 3 with many more planned. It ticks all the boxes for me as it is fun to make, is cute and has big puffy sleeves!!

This is the easiest hack to do and took no time at all. Basically I cut all my pattern pieces out as instructed by the pattern but I lengthened the front and back bodice to midi length. All you need to do is figure out where you waistline is so you can taper in the dress for a pretty silhouette.

SUMMARY:
Friday Pattern Company Sagebrush top pattern
FABRIC:
Any light to medium weight fabric would work for this pattern. I used cotton poplin and cotton lawns for my versions.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL:
This pattern is great for a confident beginner. The trickiest part is sewing the bias binding to the neckline.
FIT:
I kept the fit of my dress very loose and easy to wear. I just cut my size as per the instructions.
SEWING TIPS:
I found where my natural waist was and used a French Curve ruler to draw the outline. Then I just lengthened the pattern piece so it came to just below the knee. It couldn’t be easier!
I absolutely love this sewing pattern! It would look amazing in so many different fabrics. I feel great wearing this blouse which is one of the many reasons why I love sewing.
Thank you so much for reading!
Big hugs, Chantelle xx

The detail around the neckline is amazing!
